Do you know that you can get water damage from your sink? Your faucet can leak or the pipes that are under the sink can drop all over the bottom of the sink. This can rot the floor, cause odors, and cause mold to grow under there. If your pipes come out of the drain, water will come out and it will run down the pipes and onto the floor. You will see the water because it will be in a puddle on the bottom of the sink. Do you know what it can do if it starts to rot?
It can make the counter bow down, rot the pressed wood, rot the walls, make the door fall off, and it can rot all the way to the floor that is under the counter. You will see white and black mold on the wood, and the mold can get on the pipes. There will be stains of water damage coming through the wood, and it will appear on the outside of the cabinet. The wood will start to fall apart, and you will have pieces of wood falling on the floor. By then, you will know that it needs to be fixed fast.
When you open the door, nasty odors will come out at you, curling your nose, and making your eyes water. There will also be nasty stuff like grit and grime all over the pipes, and you will have to get it cleaned off fast. You will have to clean the inside of the pipes as well because it will be in there, too. If you have anything over the bottom, the water will peel it up or it can eat it up. It will do a lot of damage to the wood - the kind that you won't think water could do to it. The bottom can become very weak, and it can fall in.
The walls can be eaten up or be damaged very badly, and the wood will change color or will be stripped of its color. There can be black mold on the walls, and you will have to buy some more pipes because the old ones will be no good. This way, you will know that the pipes are cleaned. If you have water damage under your sinks, get it out and clean it up with bleach or some other good clean supplies that kill mold. When you get it cleaned out, there will be no odor anymore and your house and your family will be safe.
