Weddings are one of many things, expensive, stressful or the happiest day of one’s life. However one sees this it, this is a day that people place emphasis and effort upon getting completely right. The trend these days is to enjoy the joyous event and have the ceremony take place abroad, in a country with a warm climate and possibly on a beach. There is no way of predicting the weather wherever you decide to get married however if one chooses to get married abroad they may choose a country that is predominantly hot and sunny.

The general trend for getting married abroad is to hold the ceremony on the beach and have guests catered for with the celebration at nearby luxury hotels. For some people hiring out a luxury hotel is an expensive venture; however with most hotels in warmer climates come a bundle of opportunities for wedding packages and honeymoon deals. The advantages of holding a wedding abroad is that you can double the celebration up as a honeymoon and act as a good holiday for people to enjoy.

Some luxury hotels offer complete set up of all of the decorations, dining equipment and flower arrangements. They will even throw a night free if you stay a certain amount of nights in the hotel, or have a set number of guests staying in the same place. Honeymoon suites generally have champagne, rose petals, chocolates and other goodies for the celebration to be enhanced. These can also contain a Jacuzzi, mini bar and self-catering facilities.

With wedding invitations and organisations, there is a lot at stake especially when you are looking to go abroad to have the ceremony. People need to understand that not everybody are able to afford to travel up to great distances for a wedding, therefore the preparation and planning process is key to making the day a success. Provided that the couple give enough notice prior to the wedding date, there should in theory be no problems for guests to attend the big day.

Usually couples can provide a year’s notice before getting the wedding date set, with suggestions on possible flight choices and expected price ranges. The earlier you let close friends and guests know the better prepared they will be closer to the time of the date. Buying group tickets would be a good idea, because you are more likely to be offered a discount with groups of ten or more passengers. The same applies to when booking a hotel, whereby you will be offered discounts for booking a number of rooms during certain dates.

Invitations are normally sent out a few months or six months prior to the ceremony, which is generally the norm for locally based weddings. However, before giving out the invitations the couple should have confirmation on the guests that will be coming to the wedding location, just to get an idea on the numbers. Some luxury hotels have a limit on seating and guest numbers; therefore you should have all of this in place so as to avoid any problems.
