I agree that vacuuming new wool carpets is essential. Also to prevent matting, vacuum across different directions of the rug's pattern. Wool should always be dried quickly and be careful with bleaches or other alkaline cleaners around wool carpets. I bought some <a HREF="http://www.clickcleaning.com/Category/10/Carpet-Cleaning.aspx" rel="nofollow">Carpet Shampoo</A> from click cleaning recently, and I highly recommend the prochem products.
