There are a handful of home-based jobs available out there online. Each and every single day people are generating huge amounts of income from the internet. The most practical online business is eBay; have you heard of it? There are over a million daily transactions on eBay. Whether you are seeking a source of side income, or a full time home-based job eBay is right for you.
The first step to selling is getting your foot in the door and understanding how it works. You can either buy or sell items as an auction where people bid on them, or they can buy them for a fixed price. First, just for starters, sell that old warn out record lying around the house. It is pain free and you will be glad when you finally get started. You will simply click on the ’sell your items’ text on the top right hand side and fill out the information.
So now that your mouth is watering, here is a step by step process that you need in order to start posting items on eBay:
Step 1: Sign up for an eBay account, get familiar
It is easy and free. It will only take a couple minutes to set up. To get familiar with the eBay structure I would buy a couple of small items, you know that book or movie you have been dying to get your hands on. Part of the learning curve is just buying items online and learning how it works.
Step 2: Sign up for Paypal
If you have not already heard Paypal is the easiest way to sell items online. It makes money transactions pain-free and you can easily make payments, transfer, etc. from the comfort of your own home, on your lunch break, and at the coffee shop. Your money is secure with Paypal and you will even be notified of fraudulent activity. Paypal transactions can be linked to your saving and checking accounts too. You can set up a Paypal account in as little as a couple minutes.
Step 3: What do you sell
This is really the easiest thing to do. I know you have got tons and tons of stuff lying around the house that you do not want. Chances are someone out there wants it. Ever better, I know you have got some recipes locked away in the pantry that people would be dying to have. The best thing about selling items like that is it does not cost you anything and you have an endless supply of them. That is right you can sell your knowledge and offer to e-mail them your valued information.
These are just three of the most basic steps on eBay. There is a lot more you can do like dropshipping and wholesaling items.
